Yea, the eligible vehicles for the ecoAUTO rebate program are pretty tame. However, you could take the $1000-$2000 as a contribution for South African anti-theft devices for both the driver and passenger side doors.

<a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=ITP-Y03meX4" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITP-Y03meX4</a>

<a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=fDrzMGdYWZc" rel="nofollow">http://youtube.com/watch?v=fDrzMGdYWZc</a>

Of course, one could forgo the trouble of installing such fanciful devices by opening up the trunk to set up a portable chimney stack. Cut some good hickory and share the smell of flaming lumber with the neighbours! Hmmm....

Should anyone qualify for the rebate, I suggest submitting the application form as soon as possible because there is no guarantee that an applicant will receive any monies. Also! The application form has just recently been provided through the ecoAUTO website. If one submits the form earlier, there is a better chance (in the abstract) to get that rebate money. You can bet blood that government motor vehicle fleets' application forms are being rolled out like toilet paper so don't wait too long.

I may have missed it, but I do think it odd how there was no mention of the ecoAUTO rebate form release on the news....

This is definitely a late reply to your comment but I am pleased that my post has helped someone in some small way. Monitors typically have a one year manufacturer's warranty so the most sensible thing to do is to call up the store you bought your unit from. Best of luck!

My son recently gave me his very nice Samsung SyncMaster 205 BW monitor. When I brought it home and set it up, I noticed that the screen was sagging. I waited until my son came to visit before setting it up and had to listen to him keep asking me what I had done to this monitor. I told him that I treated this monitor like a new born baby carrying it home in a blanket and gently setting it up on the computer desk. Thank you for this comment as I am emailing him your website so he can see that I did not do anything to this monitor. It was a bracket problem after all. Now, all I need to do is find a way of getting it fixed, otherwise, it is useless to me.
